The DoylesRoom Brunson 10 saw its stable of five pros shrink to four this week, as Alec “traheho” Torelli parted ways with the USA-friendly online poker site to pursue “another project,” according to a press release obtained by Poker News Daily on Friday.

The parties agreed to separate on Wednesday, as DoylesRoom officials commented, “DoylesRoom.com confirmed that they are not renewing their contract with Alec Torelli. The online poker player is moving on to another project.” Poker News Daily has learned that the “project” in question is a forthcoming online poker site on the Everleaf Network, although Torelli’s agent could not confirm that information.

DoylesRoom President Will Griffiths told Poker News Daily about the fate of the vacant spot in the Brunson 10: “I’d like to see us make an announcement pretty soon. We’re not at that stage right now, though, and are waiting for people to get back from the Bahamas.” Poker’s elite players are in transit from the Atlantis Resort and Casino on Paradise Island in the Bahamas, the site of the 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA). The series wrapped up yesterday with William Reynolds taking down the PCA’s $25,000 buy-in High Roller Event.

DoylesRoom officials are pursuing several top-tier online poker players to replace Torelli. The room’s press release noted, “Since launching The Brunson 10, Doyle Brunson and the poker room that bears his name have been bombarded by poker players looking to sign with DoylesRoom.com, including a number of players who already have contracts with other poker sites.” Torelli signed a six-month contract in July, which was not renewed by the site in January. The two parted on amicable terms.

The Brunson 10 now consists of four online poker superstars. Former number one player on PocketFives.com, Chris “moorman1” Moorman, headlines the list. Moorman took down the online poker forum’s 2009 Yearly Tournament Leaderboard and holds the record for the most Triple Crowns won with 10. In 2009, the Brit chopped an event during the 13th Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) for $204,000 and reached the final table of a PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) tournament for $113,000.

Also a member of the Brunson 10 is Amit “amak316” Makhija, who was featured on Wednesday night’s edition of the UB.com-sponsored poker news show “Poker2Nite.” Makhija, whom host Joe Sebok praised for his No Limit Hold’em abilities, owns more than $2 in career earnings and hails from Kenosha, Wisconsin. He finished fifth in the World Series of Poker’s (WSOP) World Championship of Pot Limit Hold’em in 2008 for $198,000.

Rounding out the current stable of Brunson 10 pros are Zachary “CrazyZachary” Clark and Dani “ansky” Stern. Clark is the nephew of the late Chip Reese and owns nearly $2 million in lifetime earnings at the age of 24. Stern was one of four online poker players featured on the G4 reality series “2 Months, $2 Million” and joined the site at the same time as the final table of the 2009 WSOP Main Event played out in Las Vegas. Stern was the youngest member of the show’s cast and brings $820,000 in career poker earnings to the table.

The Brunson 10 will grow to include 10 men and two women, a play on site namesake Doyle Brunson’s famed 10-2 hand. DoylesRoom is offering a 50% up to $300 reload bonus to players through February 18th. Bonus cash is awarded in $10 increments and players must use the code “Brunson10” when re-depositing. DoylesRoom makes its home on the Cake Poker Network, joining behemoths like Cake Poker, Lock Poker, PlayersOnly, and PokerHost.

According to the traffic ranking site PokerScout.com, the Everleaf Network ranks as the 25th largest worldwide with a seven-day running average of 77 real money ring game players. The Network is USA-friendly and Poker4Ever is one of its largest skins.
