it’s a dilemma for a magazine owner to trash the event that sells the most magazines for you, but Shulman is a journalist as well as player. Hard to reconcile the two sides I’m sure. But those who call him a hypocrite are just dwelling on the black and white of it, and nothing is ever that cut and dry.

It would only be hypocritical if Shulman came back next year. He should stand by his words and boycott any poker event that rewards persona over strict etiquette and the blanket rules any true sport needs.

Did you know card player did not publish the results of the ladys event winner, or the seniors event
winner in this past issue, I guess ladys and senior citizens are not jeff shulmans target market, or add space is more important . 2009 wsop senior world champion.

There are so many guys and girls out there trying to live a dream to play and make the final table but don’t have the money to do so. I am sure his magazine ponied up the money for him to play. I think this this is some mind game and he definitely intends to win the bracelet..who wouldn’t? If he doesn’t care…why play? His magazine should run a series of freerolls on SpadeClub so others who respect the tournament can have a shot at glory. In my mind…what an idiot. Let the 10th place finisher step up and go home Schulman….If his magazine wasn’t so good, I would cancel my subscription and stick to Bluff. Good luck November 8!!!!

It’s humorous that he was playing an event at all in the WSOP with as much as he claims to dislike it. There is a very glaring contradiction there I would say. I don’t think he should walk away from the tournament. If he is the best player on November 7th then he should go for it and win. I think if he wanted to play the tournament, then he had every right and should have entered.

The problem I have here is that shulman is bashing the very people that have set up the tournament he has been trying for a week to win. I dont have a problem with him feeling the way he does, for whatever reason, but it is very disrespectful and silly in my mind to make the statements he has. I have lost much respect for this man as he has shown none to the group that will, by the end of the year, make him a $1 million+ richer. saddening and very unethical.
