When Everest Poker created a promotion mainly as an incentive for all their players that qualified to the WSOP main event through one of their satellite events, loyal customers probably thought that it was an impossible task to defeat 6486 players and claim a seat at the 09 final table.

Antoine Saout became a very popular player and a name that 51 players will never forget since he was able to accomplish a feat that Everest Poker would reward with $1 million in prize money.  The promotion was that a one million dollar bonus would be divided among all the Everest Poker players that earned their seat to the WSOP at their poker room.  It was a total of 51 players who earned their seats to the world’s biggest live tournament via Everest Poker.  When the field was reduced to the final nine players there was one Everest player remaining which automatically awarded a prize of about $19K to each of the qualifiers.

Saout has made a name for himself at the Everest Poker tables and he is well known as a MTT guru.  Antoine is a 25 year old Frenchman that started playing poker about eighteen months ago and has been very successful at it online.  He doesn’t have much experience playing in live tournaments and there are no records of him ever cashing in a live event.

But Saout had a very tough battle to make it to the final table at the WSOP, as for three consecutive days he sat to the left of Phil Ivey.  Having one of the best players in the world sitting beside you for three days and staying alive in the tournament shows that Antoine is a tough opponent and that he definitely has the skill to compete.  48 hours from now, we will see just how well he stacks up against the rest of the November Nine.
