Hailing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Jason Mercier is a poker professional who has torn up the poker world since he burst onto the scene in 2008.

Formerly known online as treysfull21, Mercier got into poker like so many others from his generation, inspired when the then-unknown Chris Moneymaker struck it rich in the 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event. After grinding online to get through college, Jason decided that he was good enough to at least try to make a career out of poker. In early 2008, that decision paid off in a big way as he took down the European Poker Tour San Remo event for $1.3 million. Soon after, he final tabled at EPT Barcelona (finishing sixth for $324K) and the World Series of Poker Europe Pot Limit Omaha event, taking eighth for $48K. To cap off his incredible year, he won the $20K EPT London High Roller event for $944K.

At the 2009 WSOP, Mercier promptly joined elite poker company by winning the $1500 Pot Limit Omaha event. In addition to the $237K first place money, he became one of only a handful of players to boast an EPT title and a WSOP bracelet. In October, he grabbed his biggest cash of 2009, finishing fourth in the WSOPE main event for $425K. More recently, Jason added another prestigious title to his mantle, shipping the North American Poker Tour Mohegan Sun $25K High Roller Shootout for $475K. All told, Mercier has a staggering $4.8 million in live poker earnings.

With his impressive results, Jason Mercier has established himself as one of the most successful poker players in the world in an uncommonly short period of time. An extremely feared player in the live arena, he can also be found playing online as Team PokerStars Pro ‘JasonMercier’.
