Jeffrey Lisandro, known as one of the best Seven Card Stud players in the world, proved he is just that at the 2009 World Series of Poker by being the first person to ever win all three Stud events in the same year. Lisandro bagged $125K in the $1500 Stud event, $431K in the $10K Seven Card Stud 8 or Better, and $188K in the $2500 Razz event for a total of over $740K in ’09 WSOP earnings. For his amazing feat Jeffrey Lisandro received the ’09 WSOP Player of the Year award.

Even though he’s never had as much success as in 2009, Jeffrey Lisandro was already an accomplished player, having made eight WSOP final tables prior to 2009. Jeffrey  finished 17th in the 2006 WSOP Main Event for $650K, and won his first bracelet in 2007 in the $2K Seven Card-Stud event. Even though he defeated Daniel Negrenua and Nick Frangos en route to his first WSOP title, Lisandro’s  self-proclaimed greatest poker achievement was besting Phil Ivey heads-up in the $10K No Limit Hold’em WSOP circuit event at Lake Tahoe, to the tune of $542K.

Lisandro has also done well away from Las Vegas and the World Series of Poker. In 2006, he made the final table of the European Poker Tour Barcelona Open, taking sixth for $146K. A year later, he grabbed sixth at the Rendez Vous A Paris for $89K. He then made the final table of the 2008 Aussie Millions Poker Championship, finishing fourth for $132K. More recently, he took second at the 2010 Aussie Millions Poker Championship $10K HORSE event for $64K. All told, Lisandro has over $2.6 million in live tournament winnings.

Born in Perth, Australia, Jeffrey Lisandro now splits his time between Las Vegas, Santa Barbara, and Salerno, Italy.
