It’s a good thing for Absolute Poker to have Mark Seif in their stable of pros. Not only is the two time WSOP bracelet winner a world-class poker talent (particularly in NL Hold’em) but he’s a former attorney.

Born on October 4, 1967, Mark Seif is all aggression when it comes to his profession: be it as a high-priced lawyer defending corporate clients from sexual harassment allegations (as was his legal specialty) or as a High-Stakes poker player applying pressure to his opponents on the poker table – Mark Seif is aggressive.

Mark Seif has accrued more than $2,000,000 in live tournament winnings – not to mention his High Stakes cash game exploits – and he has made it to 2 Final Tables and cashed 6 times in the World Poker Tour. He won the 2005 US Poker Championship in Seven Card Stud. His greatest achievement in the poker world to date is a monster 2005 World Series of Poker that saw him make it the Final Table of 2 different Circuit events (NL Hold’em at Grand Casino Tunica and NL Hold’em Shorthanded at Paris/Bally’s) and back to back victories and bracelets in the $1,500 Limit Hold’em Shootout and $1,500 NL Hold’em (along with their nifty $181,330 and $611,145 first place prizes.)

Mark Seif also gained acclaim going the Mike Sexton route – that is, a talented poker player as the official announcer and spokesperson of a Pro Tour. Rather than hosting the World Poker Tour as Sexton did, Seif was an announcer with the short-lived Professional Poker Tour.

Despite his reputation for aggressive play and big action poker, Seif is a self-described “homebody.” The affable Mark Seif on his surprising lifestyle:

“I’m kind of a homebody. I like being online – researching things, reading about things, buying things, chatting with my girlfriend when she’s not around. I’m just a homebody. I really enjoy being alone sometimes or with people that I’m really close to and relaxing… Jen thinks I’m boring, but I’m trying to enlighten her and show her that I’ve found the golden way.”
Mark Seif lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.
