There was a cause for celebration today at PKR, the popular 3D online poker room. Despite laws in the United States which make it difficult for residents to deposit money online, PKR has managed to sign up its two millionth user, according to a press release distributed by the company on Thursday. The latest milestone comes less than one year after PKR signed up its one millionth customer.

According to PKR’s press release and PokerScout, which tracks the level of play in online poker rooms across the world, PKR is the fastest-growing site that does not accept players from the United States and the second-fastest overall. PKR Marketing Director Simon Prodger told the media, “Only a handful of poker brands have ever reached this milestone, and none have done it so quickly and without taking U.S. players. We are delighted with our progress and look forward to making our third year even better.”

At any given time, PokerStars is typically the world’s busiest online poker room. It has a daily average of 16,400 cash players, according to PokerScout, and its peak over the last 24 hours has been 25,029. Full Tilt Poker’s seven-day ring game average is 7,800 players with a 24-hour peak traffic count of 12,356. Third overall in ring game traffic is the iPoker Network, which boasts a daily average of 5,000 players and a 24-hour peak of 10,084.

At press time (3:30pm GMT), PKR had 7,672 active players in total across 935 tables. PKR was one of the first online poker rooms to offer a 3D gaming environment. The site allows each player to customize his or her character at the poker table as well as give off physical tells in order to throw off opponents. Several camera modes are also available to follow game play. PKR does not accept U.S. customers.

PKR has three major guaranteed tournaments that regularly attract the best poker players in the world:

• $20,000 Guaranteed Saturday Showdown: This tournament kicks off every Saturday at 19:00 GMT. The buy-in is $55, but you can satellite in every day at 10:30 GMT for $6.05. There are also Daily Premium Freeroll satellites that start at 13:15 GMT.
• $25,000 Guaranteed Sunday Classic: $25,000 is up for grabs on PKR every Sunday at 19:00 GMT. The buy-in is $55. Satellites run daily at 17:15 GMT and start at $7.15. Every day except Wednesday and Sunday, there is a Daily Premium Freeroll satellite that begins at 17:20 GMT.
• $100,000 Guaranteed PKR Masters: This is the marquee tournament on PKR and occurs on the last Saturday of every month. The $250 buy-in will get you a starting chip stack of 5,000. There are a variety of satellites available. Direct entry tournaments start at $13.50. On the day before each Masters, PKR offers a 25 seat guaranteed tournament with a buy-in of $30.

In addition, PKR is offering its two million customers a chance to head to the Grosvenor U.K. Poker Tour’s Thanet event, which begins next month. PKR also sent eight players to the recently-completed Asian Poker Tour Macau event, which was ultimately won by Yevgeniy Timoshenko.
