Online poker room PKR recently revamped its entire multi-table tournament (MTT) schedule to allow for more variety, more events with larger guarantees, better Omaha tournament selection, and a greater number of satellites so that players with a wide range of bankrolls can get in on the action.

The site, which is known for its unique 3-D graphics, is trying to make its mark in the online MTT scene by making several changes to the schedule, most notably the expansion of its flagship tournament, the PKR Masters.  The event previously only ran once per month, but will now take place every other Saturday.  Its guaranteed prize pool will remain at $100,000, making it the largest tournament on the site.  The buy-in for the PKR Masters is $250, but players can satellite in for as little as $1.81.

On weeks that the Masters is not running, PKR will offer a new High Roller event featuring a $500 buy-in and $30,000 guarantee.  Some of the other new tournaments on the schedule include the Canadian Open, a daily event with a $30 buy-in and $30,000 guaranteed prize pool for PKR’s Canadian players, and a daily $2 rebuy with a $5,000 purse.  There is also a new Australian Open with the same buy-in and prize pool as its Canadian counterpart.  The Aussies on PKR will also enjoy an upped guarantee for the popular Sunday tournament, the Aussie Classic.  The $40 buy-in event saw its guarantee grow from $6,000 to $8,000 as part of the new tournament schedule.

The U.K.-based PKR also added a number of daily tournaments set to start during peak hours in Canada and Australia so its non-European players have a wider selection of events to choose from.  The aforementioned Aussie events are scheduled to begin at 8:55am GMT, while the Canadian Open will begin at 2:30am GMT.  In addition, PKR also added a number of both Pot Limit Omaha and Pot Limit Omaha High-Low tournaments to the schedule.

Other highlights to the new lineup of tournaments include the return of the Deep Stack Grand Prix and the addition of a $30,000 guaranteed prize pool on Primetime #7 events.  The Deep Stack Grand Prix is a six-handed tournament with a $100 buy-in that will run daily at 8:45pm GMT, while the Primetime #7 event will begin at 7:25pm GMT.

In addition to introducing these new big buy-in events, PKR is now offering more satellites than ever before in order to let the micro-stakes grinders to take part.  The site offers a wide range of qualifiers, including direct and stage satellites.  Those who are looking to gamble it up can also take advantage of PKR’s lottery and one-hand satellites.  The lottery satellites feature a heads-up format in which players are automatically all-in every hand.  Players who run well enough to survive past each of their all-in showdowns will win their way into the event.  The one-hand satellites work in a similar fashion, but instead of heads-up pairings, players are divided into six- and ten-handed tables.

Satellites for the next Masters and High Rollers events are already underway. The next Masters tournament will run on Saturday, October 31st at 7:40pm GMT.
