Innovative online poker site PKR unleashed its annual Springfest series on Friday, March 26th. The 11-event series will span two weeks and guarantee more than $130,000 in prizes.
The 11 tournaments on the schedule consist of a wide variety of games and formats, including Deep Stacks, Bounties, Rebuys, Terminators, and Pot Limit Omaha. The unique Terminator event on Friday, April 2nd will allocate a portion of the prize pool for bounties placed on every player’s head. The value of each player’s bounty is different and will be displayed on the table above their username.
In addition to the regular Springfest schedule, the festival will conclude with a special PKR Live IV Freeroll. Any player who enters at least six Springfest events will earn their way into the tournament, where three PKR Live IV packages, including travel to London and expenses, will be up for grabs.
“Springfest is a staple on the PKR calendar and player response is always fantastic,” said PKR Marketing Manager Erika Schwartz. “This year’s calendar of events is really exciting, with lots of variation, playable structures, and very affordable buy-ins.”

Springfest PKR Live Freeroll
On top of the Springfest news, PKR is preparing to announce the 10th member to join Team PKR Pro, a group of emerging poker stars that includes champions from the Grosvenor U.K. Poker Tour (GUKPT), Asian Poker Tour (APT), Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT), and Heads-Up Grand Slam. The site hasn’t revealed a name yet, but the latest member has again been chosen from the site’s growing group of online pros and will make their first appearance as a Team PKR Pro in Dublin at the beginning of April for the Irish Open. He or she will also act as a brand ambassador for the website.
The current Team PKR Pro consists of television celebrity Ashley “ashleyhames1” Hames, Vladimir “Benye” Geshkenbein, Adrien “zlatan35” Allain, Karl “discomonkey” Fenton, Andrew “golfpro699” Teng, Kai “kingkai84” Danilo Paulsen, Raymond “callmebabe” O’Mahoney, James “James666” Sudworth, and Henrik “pokey85” Eklund.
