The European Poker Tour is currently hosting the fifth event in their season six schedule and this time around the event is held in Portugal.  The tournament is scheduled to be played out in five days with a winner declared on Sunday.

It’s not unusual to spot some of the PokerStars pros and qualifiers at the different EPT events and Vilamoura is no exception, as players like Jason Mercier, Chad Brown, Katja Thater, Henrique Pinho, Arnaud Mattern, Rolf Slotboom, Joao Barbosa, Ruben Visser, Joep Van Den Bijgaart, Ludovic Lacay, Antony Lellouche, Michel Abecassis, Richard Grace, Matt Johns and PokerStars player Shaun Deeb have turned up in Portugal.

The chip lead is shared between Shaun Deeb and Portuguese player Goncalo Santos.  Some of the PokerStars pros and qualifiers mentioned before are among the top thirty players in the remaining field which currently stands at 128 players.

The player who sits in first place on the Portuguese Money List is Joao Barbosa, who has definitely proven to be a successful player with over $700K in live tournament winnings.
