Jon Friedberg hosts model, actress and poker player Christina Lindley in this edition of The Showdown.

This is Part 2 of The Showdown. If you missed it, catch The Showdown – Episode 10 Part 1.

Friedberg asks Lindley how she learned poker, whether she got coaching or is self taught. She responded, “Well, I began as a recreational live player and I got into online poker at the LAPT. I met a player who is MrSmokey1 in online games and I worked with Amit Makjita as well. From that it slowly evolved to me becoming an online grinder. When I moved out to Vegas I started working with some amazing players. I live with Lauren Kling and she’s helped me a lot. She’s very good post-flop and being creative, so I’ve gotten a lot better at that.”

After name dropping like nobody’s business, Friedberg interrupted Lindley by saying, “Well, it must be really nice to be a pretty girl as all these great players want to help you out. I am sure if I walked around Panorama Towers and asked for help I’d get a lot of ‘Sorry Dude!’ (with middle fingers extended).”

Lindley admitted to be extremely social and being someone who enjoys to talk with people, which isn’t necessarily the norm among players, especially those that play a lot online. “I’ve been very fortunate that these people are helping me and I like to think it’s a mutual beneficial relationship where I help them with things like style, shopping, picking out there clothes and stuff like that.”

Poker aside, she lives with Lauren Kling as both are pretty women in the poker world. What’s it like to live with her? “I wouldn’t have made the move to Vegas if I didn’t get the opportunity to live with her,” Lindley admitted, “It’s great support and we’re both extremely positive and work out every day. We enjoy going out and we schedule a date together once a week just to go out and have a good time.”

Kling and Lindley grind together every Monday, Sunday and Wednesday and occasionally grind Tuesday nights. If there’s nothing going on, they’ll play on Fridays as well, but they like to leave their schedules open.
