On the Twitter front, Friedberg talks about the big announcements from both Peter Eastgate and PokerStars that Eastgate was returning to poker after a short retirement. All Friedberg had to say about that is “Are you F’ing kidding me?! I mean, six months ago, you retire from poker and now you are already back to poker? Did you really have to retire? Couldn’t you have just said, ‘You know what, I miss my family and friends and sick of being on the road, I’m just going to take a few months off and reevaluate’? … I think this is ridiculous.”

On the VoteDown, last week Friedberg asked for the people’s opinion on Full Tilt Poker’s new multi-entry tournaments. Friedberg thinks they are a bad idea and that they are just going to create too much and too high of a pro to fish ratio. The general consensus of the people was very similar and that tournaments that are multi-entry should be very limited on Full Tilt Poker. It could potentially reduce the action that all of their tournaments get because people will just buy in to the one single tournament multiple times.

This week, Friedberg wants you to talk about deal making in live tournaments. The most extreme example he’s ever heard of was at Foxwoods when 23 players agreed to chop the prize money. Friedberg thinks that making deals at a final table or maybe just when there is three or four players left is reasonable. However, he thinks that deals in tournaments somewhat kills the integrity of the event and would rather see the tournaments where players are not allowed to make deals, like the WPT has always been.

The guest this week is the 2009 CardPlayer Player of the Year and UB.com sponsored pro, Eric “basebaldy” Baldwin. He’s been on a great run the last few years and established himself as one of the best No Limit Hold’em tournament pros in the world.
