The Quick Summary

Titan Poker is one of the most important poker rooms on the iPoker network, launched in 2005 with Playtech software. The network received a tough blow when US policies caused them to ban US customers, which affected their player traffic. However, Titan Poker has fought to gain its traffic back by creating promotions, tournaments and freerolls to attract new customers. Another bid for new customers is the multi-lingual interface: Titan Poker is available in English, Spanish, German, Italian, Polish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Danish, Dutch and French.

Popularity: 6 of 10 – Good

Traffic dropped significantly at Titan Poker when the entire iPoker Network banned US players, however, Titan’s multi-lingual site and attractive promotions have brought it back to a healthy size. Titan poker is currently ranked as a “large poker room” and it is the 4th most popular room for ring games.
If you want to play low-limit poker this is to the place to go: you will find a very large field of players at the $0.02/$0.04 and all the way up to $2/$4 limits. Players for higher stakes are abundant as well. However, if you are looking for higher limits in Omaha or 7 Card, you may have trouble finding a table with action

Security: 8 of 10 – Excellent

Security is a priority for Titan Poker: all information transfers are encrypted using 128-bit SSL technology, players’ identities are verified at sign-up and before the first withdrawal, and play is monitored by software and highly trained humans to prevent and detect collusion and cheating.
Titan Poker is licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming commission, and its random number generator has been approved by Technical Systems Testing (TST.)

Player Competition: 7 of 10 – Good

As with all large rooms, you can expect a fair amount of new players giving away their money at the low limit tables. However, the iPoker network offers good bonuses, so you can also expect to find seasoned grinders working through their requirements. With patience and a keen eye you will be able to sort the fish from the sharks and make a good profit in this site.

Site Software: 8 of 10 – Excellent

Developed by Playtech (a large firm of casino and online poker software developers), Titan Poker’s software has an innovative interface with colorful and attractive graphics. The functionality is good and the few glitches of the software have been corrected. All sites in the iPoker Network support PokerTracker now.

The lobby at Titan Poker has a very simple design and it makes it easy to choose the exact game you want to play. The menu tabs are well set and the action buttons (fold/call/bet/raise) are organized logically. The software is updated every now and then to ensure stability and security, with few server problems.

The cards are well marked and large enough to distinguish, though they do not have the option of a four color deck. Avatars are limited but available. Hand histories are available instantly and the mini-table view can be useful when playing multi-tables. Important information such as pot sizes, player names, stacks and current pot sizes can be viewed.

Overall the site looks very clean and has an easy to use interface and simple but fun graphics. The software runs smoothly and looks and feels very professional.

Customer Support: 9 of 10 –Excellent

Customer support at Titan poker is available via email, phone and fax (both U.S. and international numbers.) They recently added 24/7 online support; however, sometimes the wait for a rep can get long. Email support includes an automated confirmation email followed by a timely response. The customer service staff is prompt and knowledgeable.

Company Ethics: 7 of 10 – Good

For such a new site, Titan Poker has a very established feel and behaves like an older room in terms of service, security and reliability. There is a standard 5% rake which is collected in increments up to $3, but there are many tables with a lower maximum rake. Titan Poker also has a “no-flop, no-drop” policy, which means that no rake is charged for hands that do not reach the flop.

Site Promotions: 8 of 10 – Excellent

Titan Poker has very attractive bonuses and an awesome VIP program, but recently they have increased their requirements to clear bonuses and VIP points. Their bonuses need to be cleared up gaining points that are called “stars,” players can earn $5 of their bonus for every 400 points earned. Titan Poker’s bonuses are credited automatically to the player’s account as soon as requirements are met.
Titan Poker offers a number of no-requirement freerolls daily – with 500 seats tops – as well as many other freerolls and tournaments such as the depositor’s freeroll: when you make a deposit you receive an e-mail invitation giving you the password to enroll.

Regarding Sit-n-Gos, Titan Poker offers a variety of options: in addition to No-Limit Texas Hold‘em, players can also find Pot-Limit Hold’em, Omaha H/L (Pot-Limit and Limit) and Omaha (Pot-Limit and Limit). Buy-ins start at $1 and go up to $200.

Other interesting tournaments at Titan Poker are the Jackpot SNGs – with jackpot prize packages ranging from $15,000 to $100,000 – and plenty of satellites for seats to WSOP and WPT events.

Overall Review: 7.57 of 10 – Good

Although their traffic dropped after the ban on US customers, Titan Poker diversified into the European market and regained its former popularity. Titan Poker is focused on providing great low limit games, so it is a great site if you are new to poker and want to learn how to play. On the other hand, if you enjoy playing short-handed, this site is probably not for you.

Titan Poker is a fairly new site and they are focusing on attracting new players through large tournaments, monster prize pools and larger-than-average deposit bonuses. The site’s layout is attractive; they provide good graphics and reliable software, as well as good customer support and frequently renewed promotions. It is a site worth checking out.

Result: We give Titan Poker a final overall score of 7.57 out of 10.
