Jamie Gold to be Keynote Speaker at CAP Euro 2008

The Casino Affiliate Programs (CAP) Euro 2008 conference in Barcelona will have the 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion as its keynote speaker. On Thursday, CAP Euro announced that Jamie Gold will serve as its marquee presenter during the conference, which runs from September 25-28 in Barcelona, Spain. Gold’s speech will occur during the afternoon on Saturday, September 27th.

In addition to his speaking duties, Gold will be serving as a poker coach for the Affiliate Series of Poker (ASOP). The winner of $12 million from the 2006 Main Event commented in a blog posted on CAP Euro’s website, “It’s indeed an honor to follow the legend, Doyle Brunson, in being the keynote speaker at this year’s CAP Euro convention. I look forward to participating in discussions on how to maintain online poker’s momentum and to personally thank all of you for helping make poker the global success it is today.” Gold defeated a field of 8,773 players en route to a win during the 2006 WSOP Main Event, the largest WSOP tournament ever held.

The Barcelona conference begins at 18:00 on Thursday, September 25th with a cocktail party and networking session. Lou Fabiano will address the crowd first thing Friday morning and will be followed by Pete Wilson, who will provide a legislative update. Talks on search engine optimization, social networking, and “marketing through the mobile” will define the first full day of the CAP Euro.

On Saturday, a morning session focuses on BINGO, while an afternoon session focuses on successful e-mail marketing. Other sessions on Saturday will focus on rakeback, pay per click advertising, and gaining conversions through private events. Gold’s keynote speech takes place at 13:10.

In addition to the conference, an Affiliate Academy Training Day will take place on September 25th to help affiliates learn how to increase revenues through education on viral marketing, search engine optimization, and responsible gaming.
