Party Poker World Open V Final table is underway

The World Poker Open had a limited amount of seats, which meant that only 48 players that would get the chance to play for the $250K top prize.  Among those players there were a few Party Poker qualifiers that earned their seat after battling tough fields in the tournaments that were available in previous months.

Each day since the tournament began a player would have to defeat all players at his or her table and earn a chance to play at the final table.  At the end six poker pros earned that right and among them was one Party Poker qualifier, Jan Veit.  He had managed to overcome vigorous fields of players to earn his seat at the final table.

The list of players at the final table includes Party Poker pro Mike Sexton, Bodo Sbrzesny, Jennifer Tilly, Phil Laak, Andy Black, Jan Veit and Luke “FullFlush” Schwartz.

Having Schwartz at the table added aggressiveness which is the ingredient that Andy Black wanted to take advantage of early in the tournament.  Unfortunately for Black, Schwartz kept his concentration and was not going to let any external factors affect his performance in the tournament.

Andy Black decided to pick on Jennifer Tilly but his tactics backfired and he ended up being knocked out of the tournament by Jennifer’s boyfriend Phil Laak.

The second player to hit the rail was Party Poker pro Mike Sexton, who had the unfortunate luck of running into Veit’s pocket kings.
