PokerStars Czech-Slovak Poker Tour

Not only does PokerStars have some of the best promotions in the industry but they also sponsor some of the biggest live tournament series.  They started out with the already famous European Poker Tour and quickly added the Asian Pacific Poker Tour and the Latin American Poker Tour.  On top of all that, PokerStars has now added the Czech-Slovak Poker Tour to their already impressive line-up of sponsored events.

Each tournament will have $69K as the prize pool for the main event, and the prize pool will increase if the amount of players registered is bigger than the expected.  The next series of tourneys will take place at the Poker Herna Vegas and it will start on October29th until November 1st.  There is a limit on the amount of players that can register to play and that cap is set on 153.

The first ever Czech-Slovak Poker Tour event had 122 players and it was hosted in Prague.  When the final table was set the chip leader was Lukas Horak and he managed to take advantage of his position to win the tournament and take home the $19K first place prize.

The second Czech-Slovak Poker Tour event had 88 players in September 2009 and it was won by a twenty three year old student from Slovak Republic, Andrej Cintula outplayed the 87 player field and claimed the $18K first place prize.
