PokerStars Signs two more Pros

The PokerStars family of Pros has just gotten bigger with the addition of two new players. British Pro Julian Thew, who’s been around for many years, joins Team PokerStars with eight EPT cashes under his belt, two of which were final table appearances during the first season of the EPT. He also won the Grosvenor Grand Challenge which was hosted in London. His total live tournament earnings exceed $2.5 million. Thew is now part of the Team PokerStars Pro UK which includes: the founder of the EPT John Duthie, JP Kelly, Jude Ainsworth and Vicky Coren.

The second player who was recently signed by PokerStars is the experienced Michael “The Doc” Keiner. He completed his medical career in 1985 and nine years later he started his own clinic for cosmetic surgery. His hobby and passion during many years of his life was taken by motorcycle racing, but since 2001 he has worked part time to pursue what would become his new passion, poker. His live tournament accomplishments include a win in the ’95 European Championship in Pot Limit Seven Card Stud and a WSOP bracelt in the 2007 $1,500 Seven Card Stud event. His live tournament earnings exceed $1.1 million.
