WSOP Online 2022 Underway at GGPoker, 33 Gold Bracelets Up for Grabs

It was only about a month ago that the 2022 World Series of Poker concluded, but the fun is on once again, as the WSOP Online 2022 is underway at GGPoker. Running August 14 through September 27, WSOP Online will feature 33 official gold bracelet events with buy-ins ranging from $100 to $100,000.

The first two events are already completed, both of which ran on Sunday, opening day. First up was the $500 buy-in “The Housewarming” No-Limit Hold’em tournament with a $2,022,000 (GET IT?) guaranteed prize pool. Attracting 5,099 entries, it topped the guarantee by about $400,000. Austria’s Stefan Schillhabel took first place and $296,410.

The second gold bracelet event, $1,111 Every 1 for War Relief, started just 30 minutes later. Claas Segebrecht, also from Austria, won that one and $102,152. $111 of every buy-in will be donated to the National Bank of Ukraine to help victims in the ongoing invasion by Russia.

Monday was a day off (sort of – we’ll explain in a second), while Tuesday’s action features Event #3: $2,500 Limit Hold’em Championship. The two-day event in its first day, with 67 entries at the moment (65 unique entrants and two re-entries). The late registration window is still open until 5:30pm ET. The prize pool currently sits at $159,125.

Now back to that “sort of.” The WSOP Online schedule technically lists Event #7: Million Dollar Mystery Bounty as being on August 21, but opening flights have already begun. The $210 buy-in tournament has a whopping $10 million guaranteed prize pool and a top bounty of $1 million.

Flights for the Million Dollar Mystery Bounty event are running constantly, loads of them each day. The one currently running has had 625 entries, with late registration set to close shortly, possibly by the time I post this. Another flight will start at that point, so there are tons of chances to enter.

There are already over 18,000 entries in the bounty event and there is still almost a week until Day 2.

Of course, the problem with WSOP Online 2022 being on GGPoker is that it shuts out players in the United States. As such, there are separate bracelet events for those in the US who can hop on WSOP.com. As was the case in 2020 and 2021, players in New Jersey and Nevada will compete against each other on the same tables. And like on GGPoker, there will be 33 gold bracelets available for the taking.

WSOP.com players in Pennsylvania and Michigan will have their own WSOP Online, with six bracelet events for each state. The US-based WSOP Online, regardless of the state, will run September 10 through October 18.
