Cake Poker also goes by the name Wincake.  It was rebranded to Wincake in August 2013. The site previously only offered online poker.  It added a casino and sportsbook when it changed its name.

Wincake is a member of the Revolution Gaming Network.  It was the original skin on the network, which was originally named the Cake Poker Network.  The network opened in 2006. Wincake does not accept U.S. players.  Intertops and Juicy Stakes are on the same network.  Both of those sites accept Americans.

Wincake and other skins on the network that are not Juicy Stakes and Intertops are in financial trouble.  Wincake has some players that have been waiting more than one year for a withdrawal.  Many skins on the network closed or moved to another network due to payment issues from the network.

A Personal Opinion About Wincake

What I like about Wincake – The rakeback and first deposit bonus at Wincake are among the best in the online poker industry.  There is an unusual promotion that includes Gold Cards that players can use to buy into tournaments.  A tournament leaderboard is generous considering the size of the network.

What I don’t like about Wincake – Wincake is nearly out of business.  It simply isn’t paying players.  The same goes for many other skins on the network.  The software at Wincake is unstable and it crashes often.  The only games offered at Wincake are Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Omaha High/Low.  There are no stud or mixed games.  The action at Wincake is very limited, partly because Juicy Stakes and Intertops do not share players at many limits, presumably due to the payment issues.

What Players Are Saying About Wincake

Players are very concerned that Wincake is operating while insolvent.  Poker forums are full of complaints from players that have money stuck on Wincake.  There is a lot of discussion of how the rogue site Lock Poker stole millions from Wincake and the network.  The funds were never recovered and the network has been in trouble ever since.

Depositing and Withdrawing at Wincake

We hope that you will not deposit at Wincake after reading about its inability to pay players.  If you have not been discouraged, there are several options available.

Players can deposit at Wincake with Visa, Mastercard, Neteller, Skrill, Ecocard and PaySafeCard.  Withdrawals are processed by Neteller, Skrill, Ecocard and PaySafeCard.  These options are dependent by country.  For example, Canadians will not be able to use Neteller or Moneybookers because those two ewallets do not accepts residents from that country.

Wincake Poker Safety

Funds at Wincake are not safe.  With the exception of Juicy Stakes and Intertops, the network is in serious financial trouble.  It could cease operations at any time.  Wincake and many other Revolution Gaming skins have not paid cashouts in a timely manner in several years.  Many players report waiting more than one year for a withdrawal at Wincake.

Wincake Poker Promotions

New players receive a 200% up to $5,000 first deposit bonus.  The bonus clears at a rate of $1 for every 16.67 Frequent Player Points earned.  Frequent Player Points are earned at a rate of one for every $1 in rake taken out of the pot, regardless of participation.

A six-max player, where most of the Wincake action is, will earn $1 in bonus for every $2.78 in rake paid when the table is full.  That is a rakeback rate of 36 percent.  Full ring players will earn $1 in bonus for every $1.85 in rake paid.  That is equivalent to 54 percent rakeback.

Players earn Gold Chips based on play.  The number of Gold Chips received for each Frequent Player Point goes up as the player gives more action in a month.  Gold Chips may be used to enter satellites and freerolls.  There are also leaderboards for tournament players.

Gold Cards are released at a table after $20 in rake is pulled.  These cards may be used to enter a special daily freeroll.

Wincake Game Selection

The game selection at Wincake is pitiful.  Players will find an acceptable amount of micro No Limit Texas Hold’em.  The highest regular action is at $.50/$1.  There is some sparse action above this level.  Part of the reason for this is that Intertops and Juicy Stakes players do not have access to these games.  There is a minimal amount of Pot Limit Omaha and Omaha High/Low.  There is virtually no fixed limit action at either Texas Hold’em or Omaha High/Low.

There is some sit and go action up to $10.  Almost all of it is No Limit Texas Hold’em.  There are varying levels of speed in the sit and gos.  The more turbo the format, the more popular it is.

Wincake spreads about 60 tournaments a day.  About 50 of those are No Limit Texas Hold’em.  The rest are Pot Limit Omaha High/Low.  Most have a guarantee, even if it is for less than $100.
