Come one, come all to the 14th Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS). Poker players looking for their share of $20 million in guaranteed prize money will only need to wait one month for the high-stakes action to kick off on the world’s second largest online poker site.
The action begins on November 4th with a $216 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Six-Max event, traditionally one of the largest gatherings of the FTOPS schedule. The series concludes on November 15th with a $535 buy-in Main Event that has at least $2.5 million up for grabs. A total of 25 events will play out, with the format of two tournaments still up in the air. No Limit Hold’em, Stud Eight or Better, Pot Limit Omaha, HORSE, Razz, and Limit Hold’em tournaments can be found on the FTOPS XIV schedule, which features six contests with at least $1 million on the line.
Last time out, the FTOPS XIII Main Event attracted 5,306 entrants, with Full Tilt Poker member Poligraph scooping the top prize of $453,000. Heads-up, Poligraph defeated Inoriisss, who banked $315,000 for second place. The top 720 players finished in the money, with the five best earning at least $100,000. FTOPS XIII took place in August and Full Tilt normally holds the series four times per year.
The MiniFTOPS XIV schedule will once again take place one month after FTOPS XIV is held. During FTOPS XII, the two tournament series were conducted concurrently, inadvertently causing players to gravitate towards the lower buy-in events, which come at one-tenth of the buy-in. Consequently, a slew of overlays occurred in FTOPS XII high-stakes events. Beginning in FTOPS XIII, the Mini version was run one month later.
