The MiniFTOPS has had a steep increase in popularity, as shown when event one of the series exceeded its guaranteed prize pool by almost 100%. The $22 buy-in No Limit Hold’em event had a field of 14,938 players getting close to a $300,000 guarantee. The event saw a 4way deal made at the final table with the events winner “loldazzlements” winning for $30,391. 2nd place “Pimpnuho” was the biggest monetary winner taking home $37,244. The two other players in the 4way deal were 3rd place “vyhristy182” winning $25,140, and 4th place “NxtWorldChamp” who won $20,644.

Event four, the $55 HORSE event saw Full Tilts Pro, Scott Clements, come close to a win ending the tournament in 6th place for $2,124. The event also went over its guarantee of $75,000 and was eventually won by “lol donkaments” for $15,425.

Event 11 has drawn the largest field size with a whopping 25,674 players spending $11 on the No Limit Hold’em Knockout event. The prize pool of $256,740 far exceeded the $200,000 guarantee, and it was won by “bignamba10” for $37,150, a nice return on an investment of just $11.

Event 13 has given out the highest first prize so far when the event’s winner, “PaULiStAnOPimP” took a heads up deal for $64,050 with runner up “AAKingKillaAA” receiving $57,758 in the $33 No Limit Hold’em event.

Notable events still to come are: Event 16, the second most expensive tournament of the series, a $109 No Limit Hold’em with a guaranteed prize pool of $300,000. Event 20, the popular 7-Game is on September 15th for a buy-in of $22 and a guaranteed prize pool of $40,000. Event 29, the only 2-day event of the series, the $216 No Limit Hold’em event with antes from the start has a guaranteed prize pool of $600,000. Last and certainly not least is the Main Event of MiniFTOPS XVII. Running on September 19th is the $75 No Limit Hold’em tournament with the series largest prize pool of $1 million. For such a small investment for this prize pool it’s going to be a very popular event.
