Although the specifics may never become clear, Poker Trillion announced an end to its legal dispute with former network Boss Media.

Just over a month since we last reported on this issue, there seems to be a conclusion to the 20 million Euro lawsuit between Poker Trillion and Boss Media. While the dispute was initially carried out in a very public manner, with plenty of contradicting press releases issued by both parts, the conclusion was reached amid a surprising silence.

Poker Trillion’s website featured this brief statement:

Trillion Limited (POKERTRILLION.com) announces that they have withdrawn all claims made against Boss Media and related parties ending the legal dispute between the companies.

Poker News Daily contacted Boss Media for a statement, but Boss officers declined to comment and instead directed us to their month-old press release of August 19th, which stated that player funds were safe and service would continue as usual.

The dispute started in April of this year, when Poker Trillion left the Boss Media network under a cloud and promptly filed a lawsuit claiming “alleged fraudulent and potential criminal activities by various personnel.” Boss Media denounced it as a smear campaign, stating in a press release that “(Poker Trillion) was terminated because of rake back violations. They have since then repeatedly tried to disrupt the Boss Media business through the dissemination of groundless rumors.”

The First Hall Court on Malta accepted Poker Trillion’s claim in April, where it was assigned to Judge Gino Camilleri. In August, Poker Trillion CEO Andy Pyrah issued a statement claiming the Maltese court had judged in their favor:

Despite appeals from Boss Media, we’ve been successful in every one of our applications that we’ve filed with the courts in Malta and this includes having our initial garnishee order increased from Euro 5 million to Euro 20 million earlier this month.

However, Poker News Daily was unable to find any record of this alleged judgment in the Maltese court’s public logs. Boss Media contradicted Poker Trillion’s statement promptly with the August19th statement mentioned earlier, which dismissed Pyrah’s claims: “Poker Trillion’s recent comments are a reckless attempt to support a legal action that is without merit and initiated as retribution for their dismissal from the Boss Media network.” Boss also reassured customers that business would continue as usual:

(We) can assure that Boss Media has the requisite assets in place to ensure that our business will continue to operate with the highest standards. In the extremely unlikely event that any Malta operations would be affected, Boss Media have high-performance back-up systems in place to ensure continued service to all our customers and their players.

The issue that sparked so many public comments a month ago has finally died down with 23 words from Poker Trillion and no comment from Boss Media.
