For the first time ever, UB.com is holding a standalone Mini Ultimate Bet Online Championship (MiniUBOC). The action gets underway this weekend.

The MiniUBOC, which is scheduled for April 10th to 17th, will offer big money guaranteed events with much lower buy-ins than the normal UBOC. Along with the tournaments, UB.com will be offering several competitions to make the MiniUBOC schedule even more interesting.

The MiniUBOC starts off on Sunday with a $50 buy-in Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em event with a guaranteed prize pool of $50,000 at 2:05pm ET. For those who aren’t able to make the Sunday tournament, a second $50 buy- in, $50,000 guaranteed tournament will be held on Wednesday at 10:05pm ET.

The finale of the MiniUBOC will be a $75 buy-in No Limit Hold’em event with a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool that begins on April 17th at 4:05pm ET.

UB.com is also keeping its European players in mind when scheduling events for the MiniUBOC. Several of the tournaments have start times during the afternoon in the U.S., allowing for those across “The Pond” to get into the tournaments at a relatively normal hour. One of the higher profile tournaments with this scheduling will be the inaugural Triple Shootout Turbo tournament on Saturday, April 16th.

UB.com is hosting several different competitions for players to take part in away from the tables. Arguably the most prestigious of these is the King of Cashing battle, which will put up a seat in the 2011 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. The player who earns the most number of cashes during the MiniUBOC will head to Las Vegas this July for the $10,000 buy-in live poker tournament.

The player who wins the King of Cashing competition will be eligible for UB.com’s Show Up, Get Paid promotion, which guarantees qualifiers $1,000 for simply taking their seat at the 2011 WSOP Main Event in UB apparel.

In the Triple Pay Challenge, UB.com will offer a reward to players who cash in at least three MiniUBOC events. If a player is able to achieve that feat, then UB.com will give them a seat into a special $10,000 freeroll.

Another bonus feature of the upcoming MiniUBOC will attempt to alleviate the pain of finishing on the money bubble. The Bubble Bailout Bonus will give $50 to each player who bursts the money bubble for each MiniUBOC tournament.

For the finale of the MiniUBOC on April 17th, UB.com is making sure that the players are well compensated for their finishes. Along with whatever players capture from the prize pool, UB.com is adding a seat to the highly popular weekly $200,000 Guaranteed. The top 50 finishers will get this bonus and be automatically registered in the April 24th running of the $200,000 Guaranteed.

Team UB Pros will be in attendance for many of the MiniUBOC tournaments and each will have a bounty on their head. If a player knocks out a Team UB Pro, they’ll receive their buy-in back.

Team UB is headed by Joe Sebok, who is joined by other members such as World Poker Tour champion Prahlad Friedman, former CardPlayer Player of the Year Eric “basebaldy” Baldwin, Adam “Roothlus” Levy, Brandon Cantu, Maria Ho, and Tiffany Michelle.

The 2011 MiniUBOC should offer a great value for any size bankroll over its eight days of play. For a full look at the schedule, visit UB.com.
