The Cake Poker Gold Card Race will begin on November 2nd and, for the next four weeks, award their cash game players with a total of $25,000 in free money. Each week counts as a race for players to collect as many Gold Card “miles” as they can.

Cake Poker’s Gold Cards are handed out at varying times through the cash game tables on the site. For the month of November, these cards will also carry with them a “miles” designation, moving players up the leaderboard for each card they earn. Starting from the deuce of clubs (one mile) up to the ace of spades (250 miles), the cards a player earns will be totaled up for each week of the promotion. At the end of each seven-day period, the top 50 players on the Gold Card Race leaderboard will divvy up $5,000 in prize money, with 50th place player earning $25 and the top slot taking down a $1,000 prize.

For two other promotions this month on Cake Poker, both versions of “football” will be the basis for players winning some extra green. In salute to the playing dates of those teams competing in the UEFA Champions League, Cake Poker has unveiled the Champions League Tournament Series. For those who can multitask – watching their favorite football team, such as Manchester United or Bayern Munich, and playing poker – it is a chance to pick up some additional money.

There are four scheduled dates for the Champions League (November 2nd, 3rd, 23rd, and 24th), and, on each of those days, Cake Poker will be offering two $10 buy-in tournaments. Poker fans from around the world can participate in both tournaments and those who earn cashes in two of them in a single week will earn an additional $50 for their achievement.

Cake Poker not only recognizes how Europeans love their football, but also recognizes Americans’ passion for their version of the game. Throughout the month of November, Cake Poker will continue its popular Money Night Football tournaments and award special prizes to competitors. Two tournaments will be held each week with a buy-in of $10 during the traditional Monday Night Football games.

To qualify in the Money Night Football promotion, players must change their screen name to reflect their favorite NFL team or player and then cash in one of the scheduled events. If the player achieves that goal, then they are entered into the weekly “Kamikaze” tournament, which plays out on the Wednesday following the weekly Monday night game. In these “Kamikaze” tournaments, the final 10 players get $50 each.

The person responsible for the November promotions, Cake Poker Card Room Manager Lee Jones, pointed out, “People all over the world are crazy about sports and Cake’s players are no different,” Jones noted. “We enjoy giving our players an opportunity to root for their team as part of the poker experience through our different promotions.”
