On April 30th, 2009, internet gambling companies and their affiliates will pack the Amsterdam Rai for the first ever CAP Euro Amsterdam. The conference will run through Sunday, May 3rd. Taking place during that time span is Queen’s Day in The Netherlands, which the CAP Euro website claims is “THE biggest night in Amsterdam, so bring your party outfits!”

Lou Fabiano, President and Founder of CasinoAffiliatePrograms.com (CAP), stated in a press release distributed this week, “CAP Euro Amsterdam is going to be our biggest event yet. With five months still to go before the event begins, this is already the largest iGaming affiliate event ever held in Holland.” Although the event was announced this week, a bevy of companies have already signed up for the conference and will be in attendance, including Betfair, Betway, Party Partners, Rome Casino, Tower Affiliates, Bet 365, Ladbrokes, Bet US, Cake Poker, Income Access, Full Tilt Poker.

Also in Amsterdam will be the Affiliate Series of Poker (ASOP) as well as numerous networking opportunities for affiliates and informative panels featuring some of the industry’s leading experts. Alex Pratt, who is charged with organizing CAP Euro, commented, “When people see the sheer size of this event, they will have no doubt that affiliate marketing has arrived in a huge way and is now a massively important fixture in the iGaming agenda.”

On January 29th, London will host a CAP Euro conference of its own. On the agenda are panel discussions that will focus on search engine optimization, video content, making money in the financial markets, and the “value chain.” Country-specific discussions on the markets in Japan, Spain, France, Italy, and Germany will also take place. Sponsors include a veritable who’s who of the online poker and casino companies, including Full Tilt Poker, Chili Poker, Everest Poker, Ladbrokes, Party Partners, 888, bwin, Betfair, PokerStars, Unibet, and Hollywood Poker. The conference in London runs through Sunday, February 1st.

On Tuesday, Sydney, Australia began playing host to the CAP Down Under. The first time that the event had been run, CAP Down Under became a reality when a poll posted on CAP’s message boards revealed that 84% of respondents answered affirmatively to the question, “Would you be interested in attending a CAP event in Australia?” Activities on the docket for today in Sydney include panels on opportunities in the Asian markets as well as search engine optimization. Lawyer Jamie Nettleton spoke about Australian gambling law this morning and a networking party occurs tonight.

The Holland Casino in Amsterdam plays host to the annual Master Classics of Poker. The 2008 installment was held from November 7th through November 15th and featured a €6,200 Lido Poker Tournament, which was won by Jan Sorensen. The victor is also a World Series of Poker bracelet holder who took down a $5,000 buy-in Seven Card Stud event in 2005 to the tune of $293,000. In that tournament, he defeated Keith Sexton heads-up. Chip Jett and John “The Razor” Phan were also at the final table. Also at the Master Classics of Poker in Amsterdam were a €2,600 buy-in event and a €1,050 tournament.

Prior to the start of the CAP Euro Amsterdam event is the a4uexpo Affiliate Marketing Conference and Exhibition, which will also be held at the Rai. The Conference takes place on April 28th and 29th and will feature discussions on paid search strategies, blogging, loyalty strategies, affiliate programs, affiliate marketing, social media, and lead generation. Like the CAP Amsterdam, it also coincides with Queen’s Day in The Netherlands.
