Carbon Poker is in the midst of its month-long Super Money Tree promotion, giving players the opportunity to win virtually unlimited amounts of cash. While January is almost two weeks old, there is still time for those who have yet to play this month to qualify for the highest prize levels.

At the lowest level in the Money Tree, a player must earn at least 100 VIP Points in a 24-hour period to earn bonus cash. Each 24-hour period begins at the stroke of Midnight server time. At the end of the month, Carbon Poker will award every player $1 for every 75 points earned during each player’s top five qualifying days. But it gets better for those who play even more.

Should a player hit 175 points or more on at least ten days, then Carbon Poker will dole out $1 for every 55 points earned on the top ten qualifying days. Thus, the more points a player earns, the better the rewards rate they’ll get. Finally, anyone who earns 250 or more VIP Points during 20 or more days will earn $1 for every 25 points that were earned on the ten best days.

One great feature about the Money Tree promotion, unlike some bonus cash promotions, is that any cash received is free and clear; there are no additional play requirements. The money can be withdrawn seven days after it is deposited into a player’s account. All real money games count towards the promotion, as ring games, multi-table tournaments, and sit and gos are all fair game.

One note: players are not automatically entered into the Money Tree promotion. Players must go to their player admin, navigate to the Money Tree page, and then click on the “Activate” button. It is only after the promotion is activated that points will begin to accrue.

Carbon Poker is a member of the Merge Gaming Network. According to online poker traffic monitor PokerScout.com, the Merge Gaming Network is the 21st largest on the internet in terms of cash game players. Over the past seven days, it has averaged 920 cash game players, just 20 ahead of PartyPoker’s French site PartyPoker.fr. Everest Poker ranks 19th with a seven-day average of 980 real money ring game players, while iPoker.it falls somewhere in between Everest and Merge with an undisclosed cash game player count.

While 21st does not seem like any great shakes, keep in mind that it is skewed because of the fragmentation of the larger sites into smaller, country-specific rooms. Had some networks not split off their French and Italian offerings, Merge would rank higher, although likely have similar traffic.

Merge has also had the greatest year-over-year increase in traffic of any other network or site by far. Aided in large part by the defection of Sportsbook.com and PlayersOnly from the Cake Poker Network, the Merge Gaming Network has grown 235% from the same time last year.
