Starting this weekend, Full Tilt Poker, where Tom “durrrr” Dwan is a resident red pro, is giving anyone and everyone the chance to square off against the youngster one-on-one for $1.5 million.

The Challenge Durrrr promotion begins Saturday, February 26th with the first of four phases, or Challenges. Challenge 1 involves No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha ring games. Through Sunday, March 13th, players can earn Challenge Leaderboard chips by playing at least two No Limit Hold’em or Pot Limit Omaha ring games at the same time or one No Limit Hold’em or Pot Limit Omaha Rush Poker table.

In these games, every time you win a pot, you will receive Leaderboard chips equal to the number of players dealt into the hand. If the main pot is split, then the chips will be split equally as well. Not every hand qualifies – only those in which at least three players were dealt cards and a flop was seen.

If you participate in at least 500 of these qualifying hands, the number of chips you earn will be posted on the Leaderboard. After the 500th hand, a player’s score will reflect the last 500 hands played, which means that those who play incredibly high volumes aren’t necessarily at an advantage over those who play just enough to qualify.

There will be three Leaderboards for the Ring Game Challenge: Low ($0.01/$0.02 through $0.10/$0.20), Medium ($0.10/$0.25 through $0.50/$1.00), and High ($1/$2 and higher). At the end of the Ring Game Challenge, the top 1,000 finishers from the Low Leaderboard, the top 750 finishers from the Medium Leaderboard, and the top 500 finishers from the High Leaderboard will qualify for the next round.

As an added bonus, players who hit scores of at least 500 chips and have their scores posted on the Leaderboard will earn Full Tilt Points (FTPs) based on the total chips they earned during the period. Those on the Low Leaderboard will earn two times their total chip score in FTPs, those on the Medium Leaderboard will earn three times, and those on the High Leaderboard will earn four times.

Challenge 2 is the Freeroll Challenge, which is much simpler to follow than the previous round. At 4:30pm ET on Saturday, March 19th, the qualifiers from the previous round will play in three simultaneous freerolls with $5,000, $10,000, and $15,000 prize pools for the Low, Medium, and High Leaderboard qualifiers, respectively. The winner of each freeroll will move on to the next round.

Challenge 3 begins the next day, again at 4:30pm ET. In this round, the remaining players will play against each other in a Matrix Sit and Go with a $25,000 prize pool. The highest points earner will advance to play against Dwan in the final stage. If there is a tie, then a tie-breaking sit and go will be held.

Sunday, March 27th at 4:30pm ET is when the Final Challenge against Dwan will take place for the survivor of the first three rounds. In this stage, Dwan and the challenger will face off in four simultaneous sit and go tournaments. The challenger will win money based on the number of sit and gos won. If the challenger wins one sit and go, then $10,000 will be awarded. Two wins come with a $25,000 prize, three wins equal $100,000, and if the challenger wins all four sit and Go’ against Dwan, then he or she will receive the grand prize of $1.5 million.

Aspiring participants should note that everyone must opt into the promotion. To do so, players should open the “Cashier” in the Full Tilt Poker software and click on the “My Promotions” button. That will bring up the “Challenge Durrrr” page, where players need to follow the instructions to register. Sign up now.
