Full Tilt Poker, the world’s second largest online poker room, released a software update on Tuesday that added several new features. Cutting to the chase:
Private Tournaments
Just like it sounds, players can now create their own private tournaments, restricting entry to whomever they would like to participate. For those who want to set something up within seconds, one of seven tournament templates can be selected to have all of the settings automatically configured. These templates include tournament types such as No Limit Hold’em, No Limit Hold’em Knockout, Pot Limit Omaha, and more.
Those who want more control can customize virtually every detail of the tournament, from game type to tournament type to table size to speed. Of course, the buy-in amount can be selected as well. Players must have earned at least 100 base Full Tilt Points (FTPs) in their lifetime at Full Tilt in order to create a private tournament.
Ring Game Tickets
Perhaps the most talked about new feature among those in the online poker community, players can now purchase tickets for cash games in the Full Tilt Store. Think of them as debit cards that are only good for buying into real money ring games.
Similar to tournament tickets, each ring game ticket has a set value. Each also has maximum and minimum values as well as an expiration date and an FTP release value. The FTP release value is the number of Full Tilt Points that a player must earn to be able to add the ticket as real money in their account. Until then, it can only be used to buy into a cash game.
Custom Bet Buttons
Players can now customize the three preset bet buttons on the bet slider for No Limit and Pot Limit games. In No Limit games, the pre-flop multipliers can be as much as six times the big blind and are available in half big blind increments. Post-flop, multipliers are given in percentages of the pot.
Pot Limit games are almost the same, except the post-flop buttons only go up to 100% of the pot. Each of the three buttons can be customized; there is no requirement to have a “min” or a “max” button. It’s even possible to have the buttons out of order, with, say, the middle button used for the largest bet, although this wouldn’t make much sense.
Account History
Players can receive a customized statement of their account activity without having to e-mail support. Found under the “Requests” menu, reports can include financial transactions and game histories. Balances can be displayed for real money, tournament dollars, and tickets and custom date ranges can also be set. Note that the game histories are not hand histories, but rather summaries of each session at each table including all of the table’s details, buy-ins, cashouts, and end balances.
Once generated, an e-mail notification will be sent to the player’s account and the report can be accessed by returning to the “Account History” page. Reports are generated in Microsoft Excel format.
Other features of Full Tilt that were updated include:
* Menu bar at the top of the Full Tilt window was modified, with most changes (and simplifications) occurring in the “Options” menu
* The maximum pro bounty in multi-entry tournaments has been reduced to $50
* Run it twice is now available in No Limit and Pot Limit Rush Poker games $1/$2 and higher
* Security key app is now available for Android devices
