Garden City Group (GCG), the U.S. Department of Justice-appointed claims administrator for the return of Full Tilt Poker funds to American customers, announced yesterday that all e-mail notifications have gone out to eligible players.

The e-mails were an integral part of the remission process, as they contained two pieces of information – a Petition Number and a Control Number – that were required to file a claim for frozen funds. The e-mails also included general information about the claims process and detailed who was ineligible to be reimbursed, but the two aforementioned were by far the key to the communication.

Most e-mails were sent to former Full Tilt customers on Monday, September 16th and Tuesday, September 17th. The first day people could officially file a claim was Wednesday, September 18th.

E-mails were sent to people for which GCG had a Full Tilt account record; these records were acquired from Full Tilt Poker itself. On the claims website, FullTiltPokerClaims.com, GCG urges those who did not receive an e-mail, yet think they should have, to contact them with an updated e-mail address. If GCG does see that a Petition Number and Control Number has been assigned, they will be provided. GCG is also going the extra step and physically mailing postcards to those people whose e-mails have bounced back, provided GCG has an address for those people.

After contacting GCG (866-250-2640 or Info@FullTiltPokerClaims.com), anyone who still does not have the Petition and Control Numbers still has a chance to receive a reimbursement of Full Tilt Poker funds. On the Full Tilt Poker claims site, said customers can simply click on the “File a Petition for Remission” link on the left side of the home page, just as they would if all had gone a bit more smoothly. On the subsequent page, there is a button that reads “Create a New Petition.” From there, the process is largely the same as the one for people who received the Petition and Control Numbers except that those without them will need to submit supporting documentation in an effort to prove they are eligible for reimbursement, as well as the amount of money in question.

Garden City Group says it has already received over 23,500 petitions through its website. The deadline to file a claim is November 16th. Sometime after that date, funds will be transferred electronically to ex-Full Tilt players’ bank accounts.
