Poker News

The brains behind the scenes here at Poker News Daily have been busy over the past several months. After the site received a major makeover last weekend, Poker News Daily introduced a mobile version that is available on handheld phones and personal digital assistants. PND Mobile can be accessed on any device with a web browser.

The new PND mobile offers a sleek, faster way for readers to receive poker news on their phones. Rather than browsing the entire site on their handheld devices, readers can access Poker News Daily quickly without using up a lot of data. “It’s just a really easy-to-use list of articles,” said Nat Arem, one of the leaders behind the concept.

The newest articles are posted at the top of PND Mobile, making for a quick surf through the day’s breaking poker news. Up-to-the-minute stories will be posted throughout the day. However, those who want to view the full site can opt out of the new version by clicking on a link at the bottom of the page.

Whether you own an iPhone, Blackberry, Google Droid, or any portable device with a web browser, you can access the new PND Mobile 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Arem explained how PND mobile works: “The whole idea is that it auto-detects the user agent (the text that tells the server what sort of browser is connecting to it) and displays the mobile version automatically. So, it isn’t an app. Any device with a browser can access it and it should auto-detect and show the mobile version.”

The introduction of PND mobile came shortly after the refresh of Poker News Daily, which now features a new layout, overhauled logo, and exciting new video content. Sean Gibson joined Poker News Daily as the host of the Daily Deal, presented by PokerSource.com. Each episode of the Daily Deal dishes out the top poker news headlines of the day. Users can also find video content that includes interviews with the game’s top stars. Gibson has already conducted sit-downs with PND Guest Columnists Annie Duke, Bernard Lee, and Linda Johnson. The Daily Deal can be found on the main page of the site in the upper right corner.
