The ladies event at the APPT Sydney brought  a total of 39 players to the felts, including some of the best female players from the region entered the tournament. At six thirty am the heads-up battle ended and Lorinda Bolus had outplayed the other 38 players in the tournament for $7,800, while Sarah Lee took 2nd for $4,582, and  Lynn Gilmartin finished third for $3,315.

In the main event, day two will will send many players to the rail, but certainly not PokerStars Pro Eric Assadourian, who has been running well and maintaining his position atop the chip leaderboard.

The second day at the tables ended with Tom Grigg in the chip lead with almost 600K chips, followed by fellow Australian Jimmy Tran who sits with 541K chips. Plenty of PokerStars qualifiers are still in contention for the title, while only two PokerStars – Assadourian and Grant Levy – remain in the field.

In other PokerStars news, getting a change to play against some of the best poker players in the world is not something that can be done easily but PokerStars is giving all their players the chance to play against players like Chris Moneymaker, Peter Eastgate, Daniel Negreanu and many others every Tuesday. Also available on Tuesdays are the Outlast the Pro tournaments.
