One of the recently aired episodes of the popular poker show “Poker After Dark” featured an extremely competitive table. After all having Patrik Antonius, Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Gus Hansen and Daniel Negreanu at the same table is not something that happens every day. But even though they tend to attract a lot of attention whereever they go, Phil Hellmuth stands from all of these players, mainly because he’s the self-proclaimed best No Limit Hold’em player in the world.

The PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu had a big discrepancy about the words that Phil Hellmuth said at the table in fact all the players at the table disagreed with Hellmuth but only Negreanu wanted to put some interesting side bets to prove that Hellmuth is not the best NL Hold’em player in the world. The amounts of the side bets where not disclosed but Helmuth will most likely end up taking money out of his bank account to pay Negreanu after loosing his wagers.

Negreanu expressed that Hellmuth must be either lying to himself and the public or he is just crazy. The PokerStars Pro said that Hellmuth is capable of playing in games that he has a negative EV just to pump-up his poker ego. Negreanu also says that Ivey, Antonius and Dwan are in a complete different level than the other players at the table. He says that it takes a lot of effort and time at the tables for a player to reach the level they are at.
