Adam “Roothlus” Levy is a longtime member of the online poker community and is a sponsored pro of the USA-friendly site UB.com. 2010 marked a monumental run in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event for the soccer aficionado. In 2008, he took 48th in the $10,000 buy-in tournament for $135,000 and nearly blasted through the entire 6,844-player field. He then exercised what he learned to drive deep two years later and cashed for $635,000 by virtue of finishing in 12th place.

Besides his storybook runs in the 2008 and 2010 WSOP Main Events, Levy gained fame in October 2008 by final tabling the World Poker Tour (WPT) Festa al Lago. “Roothlus” ultimately bowed out in fifth place from that event and banked $266,000, which was at the time his largest live cash to date. One year prior, he bubbled the six-handed televised WPT final table by taking ninth in the North American Poker Championship at the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls. That finish was good for $84,000.

Despite being a sponsored pro of UB.com, Levy has had a tremendous amount of success on the virtual felts of Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars. On Valentine’s Day in 2009, Levy finished second in a Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) tournament for $387,000, outlasting much of a final table that also included Kevin “ImaLuckSac” MacPhee and DoylesRoom Brunson 10 member Steve “gboro780” Gross.

In June 2010, Levy was the runner-up in the high-stakes Full Tilt $750,000 Guaranteed, where he banked $102,000. He has final tabled nearly every online poker tournament you can name, including the Absolute Poker $200,000 Guaranteed, Full Tilt $75,000 Guaranteed, and Full Tilt $1K Monday.

Levy inked a sponsorship with UB.com, one-half of the CEREUS Network, in September 2008, one month prior to his final table in the Festa al Lago. He hails from Los Angeles, California, home to a number of live card rooms for him to perfect his game including the Commerce Casino and Bicycle Casino, both of which host WPT stops annually.
