Red Rock Harley-Davidson is set to unveil its brand new Las Vegas store by celebrating with a three-day festival from November 7-9. The event, called “Rock Hard, Ride Harder”, will raise funds for the Nevada Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Headlining the gala will be the Hoyt Corkins Celebrity Poker Tournament, scheduled to be held on Saturday, Nov. 8. Participants will have the opportunity to play with professional poker players and celebrities when the tournament kicks off at 3:00pm. The winner will take home a 2008 105th Anniversary Edition Harley-Davidson motorcycle, a WORLD model Curtis & Co. watch, a lead crystal trophy designed by Legacy Alliance, and Harley-Davidson merchandise.

Anyone may enter the celebrity tournament being held at the new Red Rock Harley-Davidson store, but there will be limited seating. The entree fee is $500 with unlimited $200 rebuys during the first three blind levels. New Poker will be hosting $60 one-table satellites to the tournament on Friday, November 7.

The event will be emceed by world-famous tournament director Matt Savage and feature appearances by a host of poker celebrities including Hoyt Corkins, Doyle Brunson, Phil Hellmuth, Layne Flack, Cyndy Violette, Todd Brinson, Pam Brunson, Tiffany Michelle, Brad Booth, Jennifer Harman, Marco Traniello, Chip and Karina Jett, Lee Watkinson, Brandon Cantu, and Jeff Madsen. 2008 World Series of Poker November Nine members David “Chino” Rheem and Dennis Phillips will also be on-site, as will rap artist Nelly.

For Rheem and Phillips, the Hoyt Corkins Celebrity Poker Tournament will likely be their last tune-up before the resumption of the World Series of Poker Main Event the next day. Event Media Coordinator Lara Miller told Poker News Daily, “The lineup of pros is terrific. We’ve done a lot of community outreach as well.” An event organized by GreasieWheels Productions (which also organized the Hoyt Corkins event) and fronted by Full Tilt Poker pro Jennifer Harman that benefited the Nevada Society for the Prevention for the Cruelty of Animals raised $300,000. Lisa Wheeler, Production Executive, stated that about 5,000 people were expected and three bands will perform. On the bevy of celebrities scheduled to appear, she added, “They like to have a little bit of fun. We always treat them really well.”

Saturday’s activities will be comprised of a prize raffle, B&B’s cigar lounge, Triumph Sport’s silent auction, and free samples of Who’s Your Daddy Energy Drink. Poker pro and personality Robert Williamson, III will conduct a live auction featuring autographed poker memorabilia.

All proceeds during the three-day gathering will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. JDRF, founded in 1970, is a leader in setting the agenda for diabetes research worldwide and is the largest charitable funder and advocate of Type 1 research. Its mission is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
