Flutter is reshaping how it delivers poker in the United Kingdom, with PokerStars announcing a restructuring that will bring its brand onto the Betfair platform under the name “PokerStars on Betfair.” The move, reported by PokerNews on August 10, 2026, marks a significant shift in how the two Flutter-owned properties will operate together, combining poker with sports betting and premium casino gaming in a single integrated offering.
The rationale behind the change comes partly from the competitive pressures PokerStars faces. Mike Woodbridge, PokerStars Chief Commercial Officer, acknowledged that market conditions have become harder for brands like PokerStars, and said the new model is designed to improve liquidity and player pools — and, in his words, bring players back to the poker table. Betfair Managing Director Kim Daly called the integration “a powerful moment for the industry,” describing the combined offering as a meaningful step forward for both brands.
According to PokerNews, the structure being applied here is not entirely new for Flutter. The same shared-network model has reportedly been used through Sisal and SNAI in Italy, and through FanDuel in North America, with the PokerStars Network connecting players across Flutter brands into shared pools.
