The much-expected new version of Party Poker is finally out. New features include a quick seat option, table preview, favorites and an integrated account.

Party Poker issued a release where they proudly announce this major makeover, which was 10 months in the making and took “thousands of work hours” so players can get into their preferred tables faster, enjoy their table experience more and even play more tables at a time with greater ease.

Andreas Hartmann, Director of Product for PartyGaming Plc, went over some of the added functionalities, which include better multitabling and less of those hated pop-us:

The whole focus of the redesign was to help the online player succeed. We’re delighted with the redesigned table and big improvements have been made in how easy and quick it is to get into a game. There are new lobby views and game play ergonomics have been taken on board as the main driver for the improvements.  The new PartyPoker.com will also have an integrated experience with significantly less pop-ups. We’ve also taken a new approach to multi-tabling and are pleased with what we have achieved in phase one of the new PartyPoker.com.

We have taken a good look at the new Party Poker to check the changes in the four main factors to be improved, and this is what we found:

1. “Find your table quicker”
There are two sizes for the lobby, which can be viewed in “browse” or “filter” mode. Once you find a table you like, the “preview” option will allow a sneak peek at the action, with the options to join the table or add it to your favorites. There seem to be a few minor glitches still when adding a table to your favorites list or using the Quick Seat button.

2. “More ergonomic and personal table to support your play”
The table does look a lot nicer, with muted colors and an oval shape. Avatars have an option for uploading your own image. Player notes are easier to take, and the new card design is easy to read.

3. “More action and gain through multi-tabling”
Multi-table players rejoice: the new PartyPoker has a number of new features for serious grinders, such as alerting you if your hole cards are within a certain range and if the pot is bigger than a certain size. You will also be alerted if there is a “raise sequence” in a betting round (raise-reraise-reraise.) Another great feature for multitable fans: if you like the table you are playing in, you can open more like it right where you are.

4. “Better access to all your account information”
Account information has been integrated and streamlined: you can now access all your account and cashier info from the client, instead of an external explorer window, and there is a very convenient option for choosing your time zone in the lobby, which then shows all tourney starting times according to your time zone.

For players who like things to stay just as they are, there is an option to keep the “classic” Party Poker table.

Party Poker is bound to honor its name and celebrate this re-launch in style. Great things have been promised on the Party Poker release, but none have yet been announced other than a generous sign-up bonus: “On Monday, details of great new promotions to mark this online poker landmark will be released. Already, PartyPoker.com is offering a new bonus of 100% up to $500.
