PokerStars

PokerStars has become more involved in the live tournament scene, promoting some of the major tournaments world wide like the EPT, APPT, CSPT and of course the LAPT. Part of the huge logistics operation behind these great events is deciding where the tournament stops will be. Because coordinating such events cannot be done in a snap, each location is well thought of and coordinated before it gets included in the tournament schedule.

The Latin American Poker Tour will stop in Costa Rica (on Playa Conchal to be exact) from November 19th to the 22nd. The second stop in the schedule will take players to the beautiful Bahamas for the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, which will be hosted at the Atlantis Resort from January 4th to the 14th. A little over a month later, players will fly down to Punta del Este in Uruguay, where the event will extend from February 24th to the 27th. Fourth in the schedule is the Viña del Mar event in Chile, which will run on three different days starting March 20th. Last on the tournament schedule is the main event which will be played out in Argentina. Further details will be given in the following months at the PokerStars website.

In other PokerStars news, the satellite tournaments for the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Tour started to run on October 17th. There’s one daily satellite that is free of charge; the others start for as little as $1.10.
