The Baltic Festival has been a success all around.  The city, Tallinn is a beautiful place and the Swissotel is just a top notch place where players feel comfortable in their tobacco free environment.

Day 1A ended with a few notable players busting in the late stages of the day.  PokerStars player Shaun Deeb unfortunately won’t be returning for a second day at the tables but his friend JC Alvarado survived the day and will return on Friday.  Some other notables that won’t be joining Alvarado on Friday are: the former NBA star Martin Müürsepp, Mart Mardisalu and Audunn Blondal.  Player Bo Erichsen ended the day with the chip lead.

Day 2B has kicked off with a much larger field than the day before, including many more pros.  The reigning world champion and PokerStars pro Peter Eastgate a late appearance into the tournament, and joining him at the tables are Katja Thater, William Thorson and Johnny Lodden.  But there are also some sports stars among the field, including hockey player Mats Sundin and the Formula One Powerboat World Champion Sami Selio.  After a good performance at the EPT Warsaw, Jeff Sarwer has also joined the field of players in Tallinn.

A total of 177 players started to play today which added up to the players on day one A surpasses the total numbers of players organizers were expecting.
