The EPT Barcelona ended just a few weeks ago; the field had 478 players and included twenty three poker stars pros such as Marcin Horecki, Noah Boeken, Thierry Van Den Berg, Jason Mercier, Johnny Lodden, Katja Thater, Peter Eastgate, Marcel Luske, Lex Veldhuis, Pieter de Korver, Vanessa Rousso, Ivan Demidov, Dario Minieri, Daniel Negreanu and Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier. The field also had fifty four PokerStars qualifiers. Overall it was an exciting event that was won by PokerStars qualifier Carter Phillips; he took home the €850K prize.

The EPT London festivities will begin on September 30th and will extend until October 7th. The events will start with a high roller tournament that will have a £20,000 + £500 buy-in, that same day a No Limit Hold’em 6-max and Pot Limit Omaha freezeout tournaments will also be available. The following day will host the end of the tournaments that started the day before and two new tournaments will start, a PLO Double Chance 6-max and a European 8 Game Championship.

Friday October 2nd will be the first day of the main event, which will be played over 5 days until a Champion is declared.

PokerStars wants more women to be involved in the game of poker; to encourage them to play, a ladies-only event will be hosted on Monday October 5th, satellite tourneys are been held at PokerStars to award packages that include the buy-in to the ladies-only event plus a night at a luxurious hotel in London.
