That’s a wrap! The sixth UB.com Online Championship (UBOC) wrapped up on Sunday with a $1,050 buy-in Championship Monster Stack No Limit Hold’em event that came complete with a $1 million guarantee. THEDECANO ultimately walked away victorious after outlasting a 1,036-player field and banked a colossal $231,000, the largest prize shelled out during UBOC 6’s two-week run.

THEDECANO hails from the South American nation of Brazil and, surprisingly, didn’t book his largest online poker win on Sunday. That superlative came in September 2009, when he won a $1,050 buy-in No Limit Hold’em tournament during the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) for $249,000. That event boasted a prize pool that passed $1.5 million after 1,558 players threw their hats into the ring.

The heads-up match in the UBOC Championship event only lasted 10 hands, as THEDECANO entered as a massive 9:1 chip leader over fellow UB.com member IBIZADREAMS. In the final hand of the tournament, IBIZADREAMS was all-in with K-8 of diamonds before the flop and up against THEDECANO’s A-2 of hearts. The flop of K-J-3 with two hearts gave each player a taste and vaulted IBIZADREAMS out in front with top pair.

However, THEDECANO spiked an ace on the turn to pull ahead for good and solidify his UBOC victory. If you’ve been regularly tracking UBOC 6, then you’ll know that THEDECANO final tabled Event #6, a $215 Pot Limit Omaha tournament. He walked away with $4,900 from that contest after a fourth place exit and pulled in nearly 50 times that amount over the weekend.

A wealth of UB.com sponsored pros turned out for the UBOC 6 Championship, including Eric “basebaldy” Baldwin, who was the first member of the group to bite the dust. Following the World Series of Poker bracelet winner out the door were pros like Scott Ian, Joe Sebok, and Brandon Cantu, the latter of whom lasted to 12th place and picked up over $10,000. Cantu ran A-5 into pocket kings on his final hand.

Third place in the $1,050 buy-in UBOC tournament held on Sunday belonged to Alex “ARGENTINABOY” Queen, who collected $93,000. In his final hand, Queen was all-in pre-flop with pocket nines and up against the A-K of THEDECANO for a race. The board ran out 2-A-10-4-8, all diamonds, but neither player held a card of the suit and THEDECANO scooped the pot with a pair of aces.

Here’s how the final nine shook out in last night’s UBOC Championship:

1. THEDECANO – $231,338
2. IBIZADREAMS – $138,306
3. ARGENTINABOY – $93,758
4. BOAHGERDING – $66,822
5. CHADBROCHIL1 – $56,462
6. DIESLANGE – $46,102
7. SHAGGYCHIPS – $35,742
8. HULK_SMASH – $25,382
9. PKAISER – $17,612

Also held on Sunday was a $100,000 Guaranteed No Limit Hold’em Deep Stack event that drew 396 players for a total prize pool of $118,000. NATASHA99 earned $29,000 for the win and the top 36 players finished in the money. The tournament was the final one on the UBOC 6 schedule and kicked off two-and-a-half hours after the Championship event.
