As reported by Poker News Daily, Germany’s Julian Selinger captured the 2026 WSOP Circuit Tallinn €1,500 Main Event at the Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel and Olympic Park Casino in Estonia after rallying in heads-up play against Dutch player Roy van der Reijnst. Their duel lasted four hours, and the victory earned Selinger the championship ring and €210,000.
Poker News Daily reported that the tournament attracted a record 977 entries and built a prize pool of €1,253,002. In the final-table action, Selinger first sent Feras Abid out in ninth place, then later slipped to the bottom of the chip counts with six players remaining after doubling up two opponents in short order. Poker News Daily listed Mateusz Dabkowski in eighth, Valentin Imperatore in seventh, Fehim Hajdari in sixth, Egidijus Matonis in fifth, David Marfil in fourth, and Kai Lehto in third.
According to Poker News Daily, the heads-up battle started with the stacks essentially level before momentum swung hard toward van der Reijnst after a key pot reduced Selinger to only three big blinds. Selinger stayed alive by winning three all-ins in a row, then sealed the title when van der Reijnst paid off with two pair and Selinger revealed a straight that arrived on the river.

The outlet reported that after the last hand, he was overcome with emotion; his son, Joris, had died at birth in May 2026, and on Day 2 he found an electronic candle in his coat pocket that he carried as a card protector for the rest of the tournament.
