On the Daily Deal, we will learn who the World Poker Tour Champion and the Player of the Year are, congratulate Jon “apestyles” Van Fleet on his first FTOPS jersey, and find out which WSOP events will be broadcasted by ESPN this year.

Hello, I’m Sean Gibson and welcome to the Daily Deal by Poker News Daily, brought to you by PokerSource.com.

Bodog pro David Williams took down the World Poker Tour Championship on Saturday night at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. He earned one point five million dollars after defeating UB.com pro Eric “basebaldy” Baldwin heads-up. Williams was interview by PND and had this to say about his win. (Clip of Williams).

Faraz “The-Toilet” Jaka was crowned the WPT Season Eight Player of the Year after making two final tables.

On Saturday, longtime industry icon Jon “apestyles” Van Fleet took down Event #5 of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series for his first gold jersey icon and $123,000. Van Fleet sits at number ten worldwide in the PocketFives.com Online Poker Rankings. He cashed twice in last year’s World Series of Poker and is the co-author of “Winning Poker Tournaments One Hand at a Time” Volumes One and Two.

When we return, we’ll find out which WSOP events will be broadcasted by ESPN this year.

ESPN will broadcast only three tournaments as part of its coverage of the 2010 World Series of Poker. First up on July 27th will be the fifty thousand dollar Player’s Championship, which will have an Eight-Game format and bestow the Chip Reese Award on the Winner. On August 3rd, ESPN will broadcast the Tournament of Champions, with a field largely determined by a popular vote. The Main Event will air over 14 weeks following the now standard “November Nine” format. The final table will, fittingly, air on Tuesday, November 9th. On July 20th, ESPN will air a recap of the 2009 WSOP.
