Leading Scandinavian gaming operator Betsafe joined Cryptologic’s large poker network in January 2007 with Betsafe Poker. 18 months later, both companies have found a way to seamlessly merge wallets, so that Betsafe players can now use the same bankroll for poker, casino and sports betting.
Betsafe management is very excited about the implications of the integrated wallet; Betsafe’s CEO Henrik Persson said, “The launch of our single wallet is much awaited and we believe that this integration will have a strong positive effect on all our products.” Betsafe and Cryptologic expect that the integrated bankroll will increase player conversion from Betsafe’s other gaming lines into their CryptoLogic-powered poker room. Besides this, Betsafe are also committed to intensify their poker marketing initiatives as part of the agreement with Cryptologic, which should result in an even greater increase in poker traffic.
The benefits of this improvement for Betsafe Poker players are twofold: on one hand they will be able to easily access other Betsafe games and sports bets with their poker bankroll, but what’s even better is that the casino and sportsbook customers will now be able to migrate into the poker rooms, which means there will be many more inexperienced players at the poker tables.
Justin Thouin, CryptoLogic’s Vice President of Product Management and Business Development declared, “CryptoLogic continues to increase player loyalty and deliver success for our licensees with its customized solutions.” The Cryptologic network – which includes popular sites such as Interpoker, Sun Poker and William Hill Poker – stands to benefit from this integrated wallet, as its network traffic is bound to increase when Betsafe’s sportsbook and casino players start migrating towards the poker tables. Established in 2006 and licensed in Malta, Betsafe offers gaming products to over 70,000 customers and is especially strong in the Scandinavian market. It was awarded top position in TIPS Magazine’s bookmaker test in 2007, and it looks poised to make waves in the poker world in the near future.
