FTOPS XXVI Schedule Released

Aside from the dark period after Black Friday when Full Tilt Poker was out of business, one of most popular online tournament series has been the Full Tilt Online Poker Series, or FTOPS. It is almost time for another round of tourneys, so Full Tilt has published the schedule for FTOPS XXVI, to run August 3rd through August 17th.

FTOPS XXVI will consist of 31 events and feature combined prize pools of over $4.5 million. It will all build up to the series-ending $635 No-Limit Hold’em Re-Entry Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million.

As is always the case, players will receive points based on their finishes in each FTOPS event, which will be tallied on the FTOPS leaderboard. The player who earns the most points over the entire FTOPS XXVI will receive a four-month Full Tilt Poker Black Card Pro sponsorship and a special Black Card Pro avatar to use at the tables.

Of course, only one player can win the top prize, so Full Tilt is awarding some more swag for other top players in the series. Anyone who wins an FTOPS tournament will receive a custom FTOPS jacket, a gold FTOPS jersey, and gold FTOPS avatar. Those who make a final table will receive the jacket, in addition to any prize money, of course.

The Bouncebackability Freeroll has returned, as well – those who get knocked out one spot before the money in any tournament will get a seat in this special freeroll.

Full Tilt has also instituted the FTOPS Satellite Heroes feature as a way to reward those who earned their way into FTOPS via online satellites. Anyone who satellites in and ends up cashing once will earn a seat into the FTOPS Satellite Hero Freeroll, which will award 25 $75 MiniFTOPS Main Event tickets. Those who cash twice after satelliting into FTOPS tourneys will automatically qualify for the MiniFTOPS Main Event. Players who cash three or four times will receive the seat plus 50 tournament dollars, while players who cash five or more times will win the MiniFTOPS Main Event ticket plus 100 tournament dollars.

Before we get to the schedule, a few notes on it, as it differs a bit from FTOPS past. You will see that Event 2 and Event 17 have starting flight after starting flight – Day 2 of each event (not listed on the below schedule) will be played on the same day as the final starting flights of their respective events. Additionally, each of those tournaments have Days 1G and 1H on the same day – that is not a scheduling mistake. They start at different times. Event 28 is also a multi-day event, with Day 2 taking place the day immediately following Day 1.
