Full Tilt Poker announced Monday the re-launch of its Black Card loyalty program, the program for the poker site’s elite, high volume players. Shyam Markus, Full Tilt’s Poker Room Manager, provided details to the poker community on Two Plus Two.

Make no mistake, Black Card is not for the recreational, low-volume player. It is for people who play just about every day and play a lot (though one does not have to be a high stakes player to be a Black Card member). To achieve Black Card status, players must reach a 100-day rolling average of 500 Full Tilt Points per day. Someone who logs on and plays a few Sit-and-Go’s for an hour or two isn’t going to hit that mark.

Once qualified for Black Card, players can then opt-in to the Monthly Edge Leaderboards to earn double Full Tilt Points. Those points can then be converted into cash at a rate of $1 for every 200 Full Tilt Points. At the same time, Black Card members still get all the benefits of Diamond status, so they will still be able to receive $2.50 for every 100 Full Tilt Points.

One of the most attractive parts of Black Card membership is the Black Card Pro Sponsorship Program. Those who finish at the top of one of the eleven Black Card Leaderboards (again, players must opt-in to be tracked on the leaderboards) after each sixth month period will receive a six month pro sponsorship deal. The leaderboards are as follows:

1.    NL/PL Hold’em High (Above $1/$2)
2.    NL/PL Hold’em Low (Up to $1/$2)
3.    PL Omaha High (Above $1/$2)
4.    PL Omaha Low (Up to $1/$2)
5.    Rush Ring Games High (Above $0.50/$1)
6.    Rush Ring Games Low (Up to $0.50/$1)
7.    Heads-Up Ring Games (All stakes)
8.    Other Ring Games (All stakes)
9.    SNG (All stakes)
10.    Heads-Up SNG (All stakes)
11.    MTT (All)

Those who became Black Card pros will be granted “red” name status at the poker tables and be given a special avatar, get 100 percent Edge Rewards (rakeback), and a $20,000 prize package, which can consist of FTOPS/Mini FTOPS entries or a bonus.

Two other players will be eligible for the Black Card Pro sponsorship program: the winners of the FTOPS and Mini FTOPS leaderboards. These people do not have to participate in the monthly leaderboards and do not even need to have achieved a lofty Edge status.
