Full Tilt, the second largest online poker room in the world, wants to help those in need at Haiti by gathering funds through player transfers to a specially created account named “Aid For Haiti”. For those players that want to avoid doing players transfers and instead would like to donate a set amount of money, Full Tilt has also created “no play” tournaments for specific amounts. The last option players will have in order to donate money will be to participate in the tournaments called Aid for Haiti that will run until Sunday, all the rake accumulated will be donated in its entirety to different charities.
But that is not all: Full Tilt will be matching all the money raised. Players that believe that Full Tilt has too much money will now get the opportunity to get a chunk of that money and put it to good use.
In other Full Tilt news, there will be hundreds of thousands of dollars at stake this weekend; the top earners could consider donating a percentage of the money they win to the Haiti cause. The first big tournament on schedule is the Sunday Brawl which starts at 2 pm and it will have a total of $350K at stake, there are knockout bounties in the tournament so all players – even the ones that do not make the top positions – will be able to make some money.
The biggest guaranteed prize pool is $750K and due to the great amount of traffic on Sundays the prize pool is always bumped up, it comes close to one million dollars on most weekends.
The last large prize pool at stake is the Sunday Mulligan which starts at 7:05 pm and it has $200K on the line.
