The theme of the holiday season has been giving in the online poker world. PokerStars is offering its members a chance to become a part of the largest poker tournament ever held. Full Tilt Poker has recently stepped up to the plate and offered a pair of Holiday $100K tournaments, which will run on Saturday, December 27th and Sunday, December 28th.

While most of PokerStars’ holiday weekend promotions occur on Sunday, Full Tilt Poker will take center stage on Saturday. The first of two Holiday $100K events begins at 3:15pm ET on Saturday. One special tournament was originally planned. However, citing “extra demand,” Full Tilt Poker added an additional Holiday $100K on Sunday at 3:15pm ET. Players can buy in directly to either of the tournaments for 2,000 Full Tilt Points (FTPs). For players without a deep vault of points, satellites begin at 50 FTPs. In addition, freerolls held at 40 minutes past the hour will award Holiday $100K entries. Check the Full Tilt Poker lobby for full freeroll information and a schedule. Full Tilt is capping the number of players in each Holiday 100K at 10,000.

Other special promotions running on one of the world’s most popular online poker rooms include extended Happy Hours. Normally, these times allow players to rack up FTPs faster when they play in ring games and tournaments on the site. Tables that are eligible for Happy Hour bonuses are denoted by yellow smiley faces in the software’s lobby and points are awarded two or three times faster than normal. Until January 1st, triple points are available during Happy Hour. Additionally, on December 26th (Friday), December 31st (Wednesday), and January 1st (Thursday), Happy Hours will be extended.

Besides entries into the $100K, FTPs can be exchanged for items in the Full Tilt Store. A variety of outerwear, sports jerseys, t-shirts, and even electronics are available for purchase. For example, a Panasonic 50 inch plasma television can be had for 415,000 FTPs. An Apple 120 GB iPod Classic can be claimed for 57,000 points. So-called “luxury” items are also up for grabs, including a Mini Cooper for six million FTPs and a Harley-Davidson Night Train motorcycle for four million. Finally, players can take advantage of an opportunity to display a custom avatar while playing on Full Tilt Poker for one million FTPs.

Full Tilt Poker regularly hosts the $750K Guaranteed, which takes place every Sunday afternoon. The $216 buy-in tournament issues the “Shuffle Up and Deal” command at 6:00pm ET. Once per month, Full Tilt raises the guarantee to $1 million, upping the buy-in to $535 in the process. Winners of at least two satellites to the high-stakes tournament will find their names listed in the leader board for the $750K Guarantee Satellite Challenge. The weekly contest awards $400 to the player who has won the most number of satellites and $200 to the runner up.

The $256 buy-in Sunday Brawl bounty tournament starts at 2:00pm ET every Sunday. The buy-in is split among the prize pool ($200), individual player bounty ($40), and entry fee ($16). The final major weekly tournament held on Full Tilt Poker is the Sunday Mulligan, which comes with a $216 price tag and awards at least $200,000 in prize money. The Sunday Mulligan gives players one last chance to rake in a sizable payday on Full Tilt Poker and kicks off at 7:05pm ET.

The Holiday $100K can be found in the Tournament lobby of Full Tilt Poker on Saturday and Sunday. Freerolls will be available until the end of the day on Saturday.
