After a cold start at the Full Tilt tables this year, some pros finally took the time to visit the high stakes tables and that led to large amounts of chips changing hands. Gus Hansen recorded a win that exceeds half a million dollars, which will probably motivate him for the year – if he manages to maintain the same style of play he could end up winning a large amount of money. Other players that ended the day with a bigger bankroll were Brian Townsend, Erick Lindgren and Cole South.
Not all players had a good day at the tables: Patrick Antonius had a terrible day and he got crushed on most of the hands he was involved in for a total balance of -$674K when he decided to stop playing. Tom “durrrr” Dwan continued with his losing sessions, just like a large number of his sessions in the previous year, he ended up dropping $194K before he decided to call it a day. Brian Hastings and David Oppenheim were two other players that recorded losses that exceeded $70 each.
Another player that had a great day at the tables was Di “Urindanger” Dang, he played at the $100/$200 table limits in the capped Pot Limit Omaha format. When he decided to quit the tables his profit for the day was $110K. His overall performance at the Pot Limit Omaha cap games is 6.7 big blinds for every one hundred hands played, which is quite impressive.
