PokerStars has always been known for the biggest and best online poker tournament series, but now GGPoker wants to take its turn. On Wednesday, the world’s largest online poker room announced the inaugural GGPoker World Festival, billing it as the biggest series of all time, as it comes with $200 million in guaranteed prize pools. The festival will run May 1 to June 6.

The nice thing about it is that there are four buy-in tiers, so players of every bankroll size can participate: Low, Medium, High, and Super. Buy-ins range from $2.50 to $25,500. Each buy-in tier also has its own series leaderboard, with $100,000 in prizes to be awarded on each.

The Low buy-in tier starts at, as you might have guessed, $2.50. Medium tier buy-ins start at $25, High tier begins at $150, and the Super tier has buy-ins of $1,000 and up.

There are hundreds of events in the GGPoker World Festival, but the poker room has put a particular emphasis on emphasis on four:

• $5 Global MILLION$ Mystery Bounty Grand Opening, which it says is the first $5 tournament with $1 million guaranteed ($100,000 is the top bounty)
• $500 Global MILLION$ 5 Million – $5 million guaranteed
• $1,500 GG World Festival 2023 Main Event – $8 million guaranteed
• $10,300 Super MILLION$ World Festival 10 Million – $10 million guaranteed

“The GGPoker World Festival rewrites history – with at least $200 million to play for, it’s the biggest series ever seen in online poker,” said GGPoker Global Ambassador Daniel Negreanu in Wednesday’s announcement. “With four tiers of buy-ins starting from $2.50, it’s for every poker player out there, whether you play once a month with your buddies or sit down in the biggest high rollers each week!”

GGPoker will also broadcast the GGPoker World Festival action on its YouTube channel at every Tuesday at 18:45 UTC starting on May 2.

The tournament series overlaps only slightly with the 2023 World Series of Poker, so players will be able to participate in both. The WSOP begins May 30, thus only the final week of the World Festival coincides with the World Series of Poker. GGPoker is not available in Nevada, those attending the Series from other countries will not be able to play in the World Festival while in Las Vegas.
