On today’s Daily Deal, PND celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander Month, a player pledges all his main Event winnings to charity, Foxwoods gets two November Nine guests and Everest Poker hosts an exclusive freeroll for PND readers.

Hello, I’m Sean Gibson and welcome to the Daily Deal by Poker News Daily, brought to you by PokerSource.com.

On April 29th, President Barack Obama signed a Presidential Proclamation declaring May would be Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

President Obama said,

“For centuries, America’s story has been tied to the Pacific. Generations of brave men and women have crossed this vast ocean, seeking better lives and opportunities, and weaving their rich heritage into our cultural tapestry. During Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we celebrate the immeasurable contributions these diverse peoples have made to our Nation.”

PND joins the celebrations, honoring the poker achievements of Johnny Chan and Scotty Nguyen among many, many other Asian American players who have done so much for the advancement of the game.

In what may be a first for a contestant in the World Series of Poker, a New York poker player has pledged to donate one hundred percent of his Main Event winnings to charity. The “World Series of Good” is the brainchild of entrepreneur and Twitterer know as @mikekarnj. He proposes to raise his ten thousand dollar buy-in through fundraising website Kickstarter. If he succeeds in raising the full buy-in, he will receive poker tuition from Annie Duke, Rafe Furst and Ali Nejad, hoping to maximize the amount of money that will go to charity.

Next, two November Niners head to Foxwoods casino, and PND readers get a free shot at one hundred and fifty thousand dollars.

Former World Series of Poker November Nine members Dennis Phillips and Kevin Schaffel will take part in the Foxwoods Mega Stack Challenge. The three-event challenge will take place from May 11th to May 17th, and Foxwoods will put up a total of half a million dollars in guaranteed prize pools. The featured tournament of the Mega Stack Challenge will be a three-day No Limit Hold’em event with a buy in of one thousand six hundred and fifty dollars, starting on Saturday, May 15th.

Today we saved the best for last: PND readers have a chance to play in a winner-take-all freeroll tomorrow. The prize is a seat in Everest’s weekly hundred and fifty thousand dollar Guaranteed. All you need to do to be eligible is to sign up for Everest Poker through our links. The exclusive qualifying tournament begins at seven p.m. GMT on Thursday, May sixth and can be found in the “Private Tournament” tab of the Everest Poker lobby under the name “Special hundred and fifty K Entry.”
